What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small files stored on a device when a website is used. Related technologies may include local storage, pixels and embedded content. They can make a site work, remember a choice or measure use. Some may allow a third party to receive information about a visit. Our Privacy Notice explains how OPDA handles personal information more generally.

How we use them

We use technologies that are necessary to provide requested site functions, such as secure pages, forms or remembering a privacy choice. We may also use optional analytics, video embeds or advertising technologies, but only as identified in the completed table below and configured in the consent tool. The existence and classification of each technology must be verified against the live new site, its booking pages and any third-party embeds.

Your choices

Where consent is needed, optional technologies stay off until you choose to allow them. You can decline them and still use essential site functions. You can change your choice using [insert working Cookie settings link/button]. Where OPDA relies on a lawful exception that requires an easy way to object, that control must also be provided. You can also adjust browser settings, although blocking necessary cookies may affect functions you request. Our tools must make withdrawing consent as easy as giving it.

Complete before publication

Run a cookie and storage audit of the live new domain and booking/analytics/video/social embeds, including before and after any choice. Fill the inventory with actual names, purposes, providers and expiries; classify current UK exceptions correctly; configure a working preference control; then remove this completion section. An accurate notice does not itself prevent optional tracking before consent.
